Creating An Inclusive Narrative Project
2021 Iteration
In response to the identified need for a more inclusive national story, the Australian Baha’i community initiated the first iteration of the Creating an Inclusive Narrative project in 2019 by facilitating a national conversation across all states and territories. Fifty roundtables engaging approximately 500 participants, brought together Australians from diverse backgrounds and culminated in the Creating an Inclusive Narrative publication in 2021. This publication provided an initial reflection of our nation’s journey: where we have been, where we are now and where we want to go. It also identified pathways for action; highlighting opportunities for everyone to take meaningful steps forward and build the collective capacity required to lay the foundations of a society that can address current and unforeseen challenges.
